While standardized testing policies vary across colleges and universities in the US, many students are including SAT or ACT prep in their college planning. For those choosing to prepare for the SAT, there is a new free option for test prep classes.
Khan Academy has for many years included asynchronous SAT video explainers and practice questions, and mastery tracking for free. Students can also connect their College Board account to Khan Academy to plan with a specific test date in mind.
Khan Academy has now partnered with Schoolhouse to offer free online boot camps with peer tutors and other students. In the bootcamps, students will review foundational concepts and testing strategies, review and train with full-length practice tests and receive personalized support.
Registration is open for the boot camp for the March 9 SAT. The boot camp runs Feb 9 - Mar 7.
Boot camps are also scheduled to run in the periods leading up to the May 4th and June 1st SAT dates.
SAT dates for the second half of 2024 are tentatively scheduled for the first Saturday in August, October, November and December.
